Salvation – He Became Sin for Us

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV)

The Father sent His son to this earth to be sin for us.  He accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf.  Jesus, the Lamb of God, took our sins upon Him so that we can be seen as righteous before the Father.  This is the plan of salvation.  It is a mystery to us.  Why would the Father and Jesus do this for us?  We are so wretched and horrible.  Why would they do this for us?  One word – LOVE.
