Let Your Light Shine

Actions speak louder than words.  This holds true for children as well as adults, especially with adults.  You can say over and over that you are a Christian, but if your actions are not Christ-like, then your words really don’t hold much weight.  In all you do, remember that what you do is stronger than what you say.

May your life be a blessing and role model to others.

Never an Orphan

When I was 12 years old, my parents divorced.  My sister and I thought this was the end…we were going to be orphans, as it seemed neither parent really wanted us.  Our mom threatened to leave us on our dad’s doorstep all night until he got home from work that next day.  Our dad cursed our mom continually and told us how bad of a mother she really was.  Neither took a moment to listen to themselves, nor consider that my sister and I were standing right there listening to the whole thing.

Comfort Thee

The holidays can be some of the toughest times, especially, if you have recently lost a loved one.  There is no easy way to grieve, we all grieve differently.  No matter if our loved one was taken from us suddenly, or we had months to “prepare”.  No amount of preparation makes us ready for that final goodbye.  But with God at our side, we can get through it…God is our Comforter.  May this holiday Christmas Season hold blessings and comfort for all of you.
